October Half Term 2023

Our October Half Term University Preparation and Intensive UCAS Application course is designed to help students optimize their university application preparations and elevate their revision efforts. The course offers a range of valuable features including a Personal Statement writing masterclass, interview preparation specifically tailored for Oxbridge and Medicine, training for admission tests, comprehensive application support, and A-level subject knowledge clinics. All these components are delivered in a supportive and encouraging environment that fosters academic study and rigor. We are thrilled to announce that our half-term camp will be held at Downside School once again. We eagerly await your participation in the programme and look forward to welcoming you.

University Preparation & UCAS Application Course

Our October residential course is a highly effective programme that has helped many students achieve their academic goals. Students have the opportunity to access timely, individualised support, to help them prepare for their GCSE, A-Level exams, and other public examinations or external tests. Our philosophy is that everyone can gain a competitive advantage with bespoke advice and expert tuition. To ensure students are maximising their school holiday, our comprehensive programme provides structure and motivation, allowing individuals to maintain momentum, consolidate knowledge, enhance their understanding, and get ahead in their university application.

Whether students are interested honing exam technique ahead of mock examinations and tests, in developing their world view and discovering what's out there, or fine tuning their UK university application, the course is designed to give students the edge. We inspire students to discover a passion, further their ambitions, and guide them on their pathway to success in examinations and beyond as they apply to university.

  • Flexibility to include additional one-to-one tuition and consultancy sessions if required

  • Online follow up after the course and smooth transition to continued mentorship from Avernus Education

Students will receive expert personalised guidance to ensure they are on the correct path towards reaching their higher education goals. Whether students are looking for advice for A Level subject selections or for direction and support for university applications, our specialist consultants will provide students with tailor-made advice and map out steps for students to take in order to prepare and apply for places in G5, Russell Group and other universities in the UK.

 

Support is provided during self-study times and additional one-to-one mentoring is available upon request.

Advice and expertise beyond the curriculum

Long term univeristy mentorship

Our exclusive university preparation masterclass clinics are a highlight of the course. From degree choice and university selection, to how to craft a compelling Personal Statement and perform during an interview, our range of exciting application mentorship sessions will ensure participants are able to get the edge and stand out from the competition during their university applications and beyond. Advanced pathway support is also on offer for those applying to Oxbridge, Medicine, Law and Engineering.

 

Each student will be given their own personalised timetable with recommended additional university preparation drop-in sessions to attend. Students will also be assigned exercises and past exam or admission test papers according to their current level so they can work towards achieving their academic goals and succeed in their university application. Sessions are delivered by highly qualified and experienced tutors in person, in small intimate groups. Students will have the opportunity to ask specific questions and gain personal support and advice. If recommended or requested, additional one-to-one tuition and mentorship can be arranged to complement the course schedule.
