Mike has extensive experience of British and international education spanning several continents, multiple curricula and diverse organisations around the world. As a House Master at Harrow International School Hong Kong for many years, Mike developed specialised knowledge of boarding, fusing a blend of pastoral, academic, and leadership skills, responsibilities and training. Mike has also served as academic Head of Department at a leading UK school, and understands what's needed for prospective students to target top academic institutions. Mike oversees the pupil pathways at Avernus Education and would welcome the opportunity to discuss the aims and ambitions of your child further.

Dan gained acceptance to the University of Cambridge (St Catharine's College) and has experience working with prestigious schools and consultancies in both Hong Kong and the UK. He is an NCFE-accredited educator, and a passionate advocate for the British school system. Dan has also been a Law Shadow at some of the top Barristers Chambers in both London and Hong Kong. In his spare time, he is a keen trumpeter, reader, and has been involved with different  charities - including various Royal Geographical Society fundraising efforts at the Hong Kong Club. As Senior Consultant Dan oversees the Student Pathways at Avernus, and is a firm believer that with the right support, all students can strive for academic excellence.

Lawrence has world leading expertise in UK universities and international education. He is an experienced, and detail-oriented consultant. Having graduated with First-Class Honours in Mathematics from Imperial College London, he understands the qualities and steps necessary to thrive in Britain's best institutions. He prides himself on his ability to understand and tailor towards the individual needs of each student. Being from Hong Kong (Lawrence won the Award for Outstanding HKDSE result, Diocesan Boys' School), Lawrence is also deeply knowledgeable about the experience and procedures of international students applying to the UK's best schools  universities.

Tom is a highly experienced tutor and has successfully supported many students applying to medical school, with many of his students now studying at Oxford and Cambridge. Having achieved 11 9s at GCSE, 4 A*s at A Level and the highest first year score in his college, Tom builds on his personal experience to teach students the methodical and strategic approach he uses to get the highest possible grades in public examinations and admission tests. He currently works as an undergraduate researcher at the Nuffield Department of Clinical Neurosciences; with his work on the determinants of neurodegeneration in the Multiple Sclerosis spinal chord soon to be published in the Journal of Neuroscience.
